I’m loved more than I actually think I am

Today’s piece will be nothing short of an appreciation post for all the amazing people in my corner

As someone who’s always been made to believe she’s meant do this thing called life alone, I’m surrounded by the most loving, caring, stupendously stupid, highly intelligent/talented humans I call friends.

From scent, the most stubborn goat in human form, Adeola, the best one yet; Chika, my dearest, who doesn't take shit from me (fuck around and find out); to Xavier, who sometimes I question his sanity and a lot more unstable people who I deeply respect and love wholeheartedly.

Is it Richard that’s been so supportive of all my ideas even though he has the foulest of mouths, or is it Eka who will laugh in the most ungodly manner in serious situations and Doris, who’s so close to my heart, and she doesn’t even know it yet?

These and many unmentioned names have built my confidence and self-esteem brick by brick unknowingly to them, and I don’t take you guys love and support for granted.

Is it Chima who unknowingly cares for me and always looks out even though we banter like children, or Trinitas who says the darnest things with the straightest face to David who breezes in and out of my life with comfort and stability, all the way down to Kaycee who is constantly checking in on me even though I have the bad habit of never calling?

Benjamin, who always pops up like the moon and makes everything shine bright amidst insults that are coated with love, or Robert, who shouts terrorist from across the room with his bad mouth.

Eki, who has said I’ll not wither away in this life (not on her watch), pushes me beyond my limit;comfort zone and says go for the universe since the sky isn’t enough. I have many more who calmly root for me even though we fight all the time, as I’m known for my bad character, yet they never fully cut me off.

Ekene, the nonchalant one that wants attention all the time, I see you too, and Olaoluwa, my newest member that has just been initiated into my cult, but she doesn’t know it yet lol

I love you all and thank you for always taking my nonsense despite how stupid I act every time, and if I didn’t mention your name, just know I love you more than anyone who was mentioned; it was a paid gig. *wink*
